Fourth of July and Golf

Categories: Blog, Uncategorized

Spending time over the Fourth of July week should include a relaxing game of golf. Veterans and citizens alike can enjoy a game of golf while enjoying the great land of the free and home of the brave on golf courses located throughout our great country especially in Akron, Ohio at Mud Run Golf Course and Driving Range.

Independence Day is a day to remind us of our great liberties given to us by those how have fought for and gone before us so we may enjoy our freedom. Green grass and amber waves of grain are reminders and symbols of a gift that has been won for us.

So, celebrate our liberties, remember the freedoms that have been won for us and take the time to reflect about our independence while spending time with family and friends. Take a veteran out for 9-holes, enjoy time as parent-child pair or gather up the whole family and go to the driving range for a fun and enjoyable driving contest.

The First Tee of Greater Akron, located at Mud Run Golf Course and Driving Range, is proud of the core values taught to the students they mentor through the game of golf. Ideals such as integrity, honesty and perseverance are all highlighted in the golf curriculum. And more importantly they honor currently military families with full scholarships to the First Tee program through their Military Voucher Program. Participant are awarded a voucher if an immediate family member who is on ‘Active Duty’ within the United States Military.  This includes The National Guard and Reserves from all branches. Call 330-375-2638 to register your child for the Military Voucher Program.

So, thank a veteran on July 4th and come celebrate our countries independence with a relaxing day at the golf course. Mud Run is open 6:00 am until dark on July 4th. Call for tee times, 330-375-2728. Driving range and putting green also available.
